Just wondering is there any thing special I would need to do, to do an auto to manual swap in my '06? I'm not looking to do this right now. But possibly in a few years from now when I move and have a longer highway commute.

I would like to get the best possible gas mpg, and also add the 'fun factor' when my wife has her own car and we don't have to share. Right now I have an '06 S with auto trans. I know I will need: Donor Trans New Clutch kit New Flywheel Donor pedal assembly Donor or new shifter Will I need a New Starter??? Donor Harness??? What type of clutch do these cars use?

If so I will need a master & slave cylinder?? Is the center console the same or will I need to swap that also? IS there anything else that has to be done on the engine side? How about mounts? Are they different?

Thanks in advance Doing this kind of swap depends on whether you want it done to the point of it being complete as if it had really been originally built as a manual, or if you want to just do it to the point of being functional. I went the route of functionality because I had limited funds and time; also, where i live there is no emissions testing (yet).no new starter should be needed.a new ECU will be depended on the route you wish to take.I got away without using a new ECU and engine harness for a manual (still have the automatic one in there), that's part of the route of just functionality. Going that route though will cause the MIL to be constantly illuminated and you'll have about 5 different codes, mostly related to the transmission (ECU thinks there's a problem with the trans because the engine harness connectors for the transmission aren't connected to anything).
