Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp GHRCEM, Amravati had recently organized 3 days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp in association with MCED (Maharashtra Center for Entrepreneurship Development), Amravati during 30th August 2018 to 01st September 2018.

Kiran Paturkar, President, M.I.D.C Association Amravati, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Yenki, Vice-Chancellor, G H Raisoni University, Amravati, Mr. Dabir, Project Manager, MCED, Amravati and Dr. Vijay Rathod Principal, GHRCE&M, Amravati was the chief guest for inauguration ceremony of this EAC Workshop.

The main purpose of arranging the Camp was to promote the Entrepreneurship Skill-Set among the student and to inculcate entrepreneurial quality among student. This camp was arranged by our Entrepreneurship Development club, GHRCEM, Amravati. Total 164 Student had enrolled for this camp. PEER TEACHING ACTIVITY Peer teaching was conducted on 10th February 2018 for first year engineering students at Lab building. Students of group A taught to the students of Group B and students of group B taught to the students of group A. Farid taught the subject Maths-II. Krushnalini More taught subject Electrical Engineering, Mr.

Faizan taught subject Computer Programming and Mr. Aniket taught the subject Chemistry. Abhijeet and Mr. Ashit also took the participation in peer teaching. All the students did very well.

All students were very happy for as such activity being conducted. Feedback is taken form students after completion of this activity. Students requested to arrange more such activities. They said it is good opportunity for them to improve their personality, presentation skill and confidence. They gave thanks to HoD of FYBE. SPORTS & CULTURAL FESTIVAL ANTARAGNI-2018 G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati’s Sports and Cultural Festival ‘Antaragini-2018’ was concluded with grandeur. Various sports and cultural events were organized under the festival.

In these competitions students from different departments of the college took part with utmost enthusiasm. In the sports tournaments they showed tremendous sporting spirit while in cultural events they showcased their hidden talent. They made a mark in everyone's heart with their dance, acting, song, music and theatrical presentation. Through the fashion show, students presented themselves as a vigilant youth of modern India. By staging various dramas and skits they targeted social evils and spread the message of peace, harmony and national integrity. FOOTPRINT 2018 G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati organized FOOTPRINT 2018, An Alumni Reunion on 3rd March 2018 at Hotel Grace Inn.

FOOTPRINT is an Annual activity conducted by GHRCEM Amravati and entire RAISONI Group as a get together cum interactive session of Alumni, Staff & Students. The activity runs under G H Raisoni Alumni Foundation (i.e. GHRAF), Nagpur. GHRCEM, Amravati is connected with more than 1700 Alumni and is continuously with in touch with them. In association with this, NSS group of GHRCEM, Amravati conducted “RUNANUBANDH” activity which is initiated by Prof. Thakur & team.

Hon’ble Principal Dr. Vijay Rathod addressed the Alumni and appreciated them for becoming a part of this Alumni Reunion.

SPECIAL CAMP AT BODANA NSS Unit of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati Organized NSS Special Camp From 27th Jan to 03rd Feb 2018 at Taponeshwar, Bodana village. The camp was inaugurated by the hands of Director, NSS and Student welfare of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Dr. Rajesh Mirge and President of Taponeshwar temple committee Shri. Devraoji Bhore.

Certified course of Siddha Samadhi Yoga was conducted by Prof. Dange (International Trainer, Siddha Samadhi Yoga). During NSS Special Camp NSS volunteers did excavation in Village Lake with help of villagers and revived the lake. NSS Volunteers also inculcated lesson of school management by conducting several activities in primary school. NSS Unit of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati also donated 1100 books to school library as part of institute CSR Activity. GUEST LECTURE ON POWER SYSTEM STABILITY A guest lecture on the topic of “Power System Stability” was organized for the final year students by the Electrical Engineering Department in G.

Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati. The lecture was scheduled at 11 am on 26th February 2018.

The guest speaker was Dr.K.D.Thakur. She is Professor at Government college of Engineering Amravati. In this Guest lecture Power System Stability concept had been wonderfully explained by the expert.

Steady state stability, transient stability, Equal area criteria, Excitation System concept also covered in detail. Students of final year are very much satisfied after attending this lecture.

TEAM CHRONICLE The “Team Chronicle” of GHRCEM, Amravati had recently participated in MEGA ATV Championship 2K18 which were organized at Adgaon Village, Nashik during 24 to 27 February 2018. The Team Chronicle of GHRCEM, Amravati stood 2nd Runner Up in Flat Dirt race type in this national level championship. Last year also, we had gained 7th rank all over India. Same Legacy we have maintained this time by achieving remarkable success. The team has got the trophy for this noticeable victory. Total 100 participants across India participated in that event. For this, we have taken very serious effort.

Raisoni Group has given Rs.6.50 lacs for the manufacturing of ATV vehicle and also provided resources and top class facility due to which we were able to convert dreams into reality. Everyone praised Team Chronicle for their extra ordinary performance in MEGA ATV Championship. PAROKSHA, TECHKRUNCH & TRPCS G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati's two-day Technical Festival, ‘PAROKSHA, TECHKRUNCH and TRPCS 2018’ concluded on Tuesday.

In the closing ceremonies, the Pro- vice chancellor of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Dr. Rajesh Jaipurkar was present as chief guest.

The event was organized under the guidance of president of the Raisoni Group of Institutions, Mr. Sunil Risoni and Secretary Nitin Tatiya. Principal of GH Raisoni College of Engineering and Management Amravati Dr.

UNIVERSITY’S CRICKET TEAM Student of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati Ms. Devyani Milind Kotrange selected for Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University’s women’s Cricket team. Devyani took a place in the women’s cricket team and she was gone recently to play West Zone Inter University Cricket tournament held on 8th January to 13th January 2018 at Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. Devyani credited her success with the Raisoni Group of Institutions Chairman Mr.

GUEST SEMINAR ON INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION & ROBOTICS A guest seminar was organized in G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati for final year students from all disciplines. The Program held on 25th January at GHRCEM Seminar Hall.

The guest seminar was on the topic of “Industrial Automation and Robotics” presented by young entrepreneur Ms. Kashmira Jadhav, Director of Jadhav groups of Industries. She has explained about in length the emergence of internet of things in perspective of Mechanical Engineering. It is also termed as industry 4.0 which mean’s the collaboration of computation, communication and controls. She explained in industry 4.0, the computations and communication is deeply embedded in the existing physical system. Among the audiences, the students were benefited a lot with the interaction she had with the students after her seminar.

SAP IMPLIMENTED AT PARAS THERMAL POWER PLANT An Industrial visit to “Thermal Power Plant”, Paras, Dist. Akola, Maharashtra was organized by Computer Science and Engineering Department of GHRCEM, Amravati on Friday, 9th February 2018.

Total 43 students along with four faculty members Prof. Dinesh Datar, Prof. Mahip Bartere, Prof. Jayant Mehare and Prof. Ankita Datir accompanied the students for visit. The objective was to get an insight into the internal working process and functioning of thermal power plant.

First, students visited to Training Centre at Paras plant where Programmer and I/C System Analyst Mr. Mukesh Bele delivered Presentation on SAP, he introduced SAP module, working of SAP in Power Plant.

He said Not only Paras Thermal Power Plant can be controlled and monitored but also all other Power stations in Maharashtra can be Controlled and monitored through SAP. INDUSTRIAL VISIT GUKSS INDUSTRIES The Mechanical Engineering department had organized an Industrial visit for Final Year students to GUKSS Industries, Amravati recently on 31 Jan’2018. The total 87 students along with Prof. Chopde, Prof. Nimbalkar and Prof. Nimbhorkar visited the Industry.

GUKSS Industry is a joint venture of Jadhao Group of Industries which is one of the reputed group in Maharashtra. This Industry manufactures the precision sheet metal component & Electrical panel. The students had enjoyed the technical Endeavour at the company a lot. Principal Dr. Vijay Rathod Sir, Prof. Deshmukh Sir (HOD of Mechanical Department) motivated & guided us for this visit.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT JADHAO GRUOP OF COMPANIES The Mechanical Engineering department had organized an Industrial visit for Third Year students to Jadhao Group of Companies, Amravati recently on 20 January 2018.

Total 112 students along with Prof. Deshmukh, Prof. Satish Mandve, Prof. Sachin Petle, Prof. Vaibhav Nimbalkar and Prof.

Nimbhorkar visited the Four Industries viz. Jadhao Gear Ltd., Jadhao Leyland, Jadhao Gears, Jadhao Icon. All Industries are joint venture of Jadhao Group of companies which is one of the reputed group in Maharashtra. This Group manufactures Ginning Machine, Agriculture tools and Equipment, Precision sheet metal component & Electrical panel.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT JADHAO GRUOP OF COMPANIES The Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering department had organized an Industrial visit for Second Year students to Jadhao Group of Companies, Amravati recently on 25 January 2018. KITE FESTIVAL CELEBRATION “Makar Sankranti” is the festival of til-gul where sesame and jaggery laddoos or chikkis are distributed among all. They are generally accompanied by the saying, 'Til-gul ghya ani god god bola', which translates to 'eat these sesame seeds and jaggery and speak sweet words'. The festival is one of bonding where every member of society is asked to bury the hatchet with enemies and foes and live in peace. “Makar Sankranti” was celebrated this year on 15th January 2018 at G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati with great fun and fervor. The program was organized with the support from Hon’able Chairman, Shri Sunil Raisoni and constant encouragement from respected Principal, Dr. The festival was started by distributing sweets and kites among students.

All staff members and students enjoyed the festival by flying kites, which is one of the most popular festivals in India. WOMEN SAFETY NSS wing G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati has been organized the street play on the 5 January 2018 on “Women Safety” in the association with Maharashtra State Police and Traffic Departments. The students performed this street play in the various areas of city. In that play they created awareness among the people. For this program Dr. Vijay Rathod, Principal, Prof.

Nitin Mandaogade Vice-Principal, Mr.Arvind Thosare, Police Inspector, Mrs. Neelima Araj, Police Constable, Commandos and large numbers of people were present. Vijay Rathod appreciated and congratulated to the students for their efforts to create link between police and people and also for spreading awareness amongst people about Women Safety. Vikas Thakur, Prof. Pradeep Kotak and NSS students had taken keen efforts to make this event successful. SITE VISIT AT BADNERA RAILWAY STATION The students of 3rd year Civil Engineering GHRCEM, Amravati visited a Railway station at Badnera Amravati on 20th Jan 2018. This visit was arranged to know the types of Joints fixtures and fastening of rail and different components of steel structure to students. B H Shinde & Prof. A P Dange guided students the concepts of railway engineering and design of steel structure. Professors have guided students to connect with the theoretical studies and make them visualized the components and joints drawn on board in the theory class.

GUEST LECTURE ON LOAD FLOW ANALYSIS A guest lecture on the topic of “Load Flow Analysis of Subject CMPSA” was organized for the final year students by the Electrical Engineering Department in G. Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati.

The lecture was scheduled at 11 am on 26th October 2017. The guest speaker was Dr.

Mathematical analysis of the load flow studies has been taught by the expert, so our students are familiar with it.

SITE VISIT SALBURDY MORSHI Civil Engineering Department of G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati had arranged Site Visit Salburdy Morshi, Amravati on 07th Oct. The objective of visit was to get practical knowledge about Engineering Geology. To Give extra knowledge about properties of rock.

In interaction session, Prof. A P Dange described about the classification of rock, he had also introduced anticline and syncline to the students.

Students had interacted with contractor Team and they shared practical experience & answered different questions raised by students. Students were quite impressed. It was a great learning experience for them around 53 students was accompanied by 1 staff member for this Site visit.

SITE VISIT ROHINI PARK Civil Engineering Department of G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati had arranged Site Visit at Rohini Park, Amravati on 09th Sept.

The objective of visit was to get practical knowledge about under construction building. Wankhade, Civil engineer and builder, welcomed Students and Staff. In interaction session, Mr.

Wankhade described how to plan the building construction work, he had also introduced new techniques used in construction to the students. Students had interacted with contractor Team and they shared practical experience & answered different questions raised by students. Students were quite impressed.

It was a great learning experience for them around 60 students was accompanied by 1 staff member for this Site visit. Site visit was coordinated by Prof H.B. Dahake, HoD (Civil Dept), Principal of G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati congratulated the staff for success of visit and encouraged the moto to organize more such activities. FDP ON SOLAR POWER SYSTEM G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati had organized One day FDP on “Solar Power System” on 6th Nov 2017 by III Cell, Amravati.

Sandeep Sonaskar, Director, V. Informatics Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur briefed the importance and benefits of Solar Power System. He also explained Solar Power Plants used in one of two technologies like Photovoltaic’s, and Conventional PV system. He explained the importance of Concentrated Solar Power, Hybrid systems and also CPV/CSP. He had shown practical of solar power system which is installed on the top of Boys hostel in campus. Total 30 faculties participated in this FDP.

POOL CAMPUS PLACEMENT DRIVE Pool Campus Placement Drive of Indian Navy held at G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati on 10th & 11th October 2017 for recruitment of Engineering candidates under UES-2018 scheme of Indian Navy. UES is University Entry Scheme adopted by Indian Navy for recruitment of Engineering Graduates to Navy.

Commander Akhil G. Were present for the recruitment process. The recruitment process was comprising of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Training and Placement Officer, Prof. Jayant Mehare informed Engineering Students of Amravati region about the process to be held and thus students who have registered online for attending the Campus Drive of Indian Navy have received call letters containing schedule and venue of drive. Drive received overwhelming response from students of Amravati region. INDEPENDENCE DAY Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati.

Flag hoisting was done at the hands of Principal, Dr. Asha Ambhaikar Mam. 'Youth should rise to occasion and contribute to make new prosperous India', she said in her maiden speech. NSS volunteers sung patriotic songs to celebrate Independence Day followed by a street play performed by NSS volunteers on the theme of 'Life of Indian Arm Forces”.

Massive tree plantation drive was organised by NSS unit in sprawling campus. All the students, teaching and non teaching staff took active part in this noble cause. NSS volunteers collected plastic waste from campus and made the campus plastic free. ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS CAMP Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi in collaboration with MITCON, Amravati and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati had organized three days “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” from 18th August 2017 to 20th August 2017 for budding entrepreneurs of GHRCEM, Amravati.

It was organized for all third year and final year students of GHRCEM, Amravati. The camp was inaugurated by the hands of Prof.

Yogesh Deshmukh. All HoDs and faculty members were present for the inauguration of the camp. The objective of organizing this camp was to promote knowledge based and technology-driven start-ups by harnessing young minds and their innovative potential in an academic environment.

Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi awarded Certificates to the students for attending this camp. TREE PLANTATION DRIVE NSS Unit of G H R C E M, Amravati organized plantation drive on 1 st July 2017 in college campus. All teaching, Non- teaching and students of Engineering and Management, Amravati participated enthusiastically in plantation drive. The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr.

Asha Ambhaikar, by planting first tree sapling. Total 125 trees were planted in plantation drive. Each faculty members adopted one tree and pledged to take care of their tree. Principal, Dr.Asha Ambhaikar madam encouraged the NSS Volunteers and stressed upon the need of tree plantation to maintain ecological balance of earth. “We should strive hard to make our earth better place to live”. Principal, Dr.AshaAmbhikar said in her maiden speech.

All Deans, HoD’s and staff members present during plantation drive and motivated the students. Vikas Thakur, Prof. Pradeep Kotak and NSS Volunteers took effort for the successful organization of the plantation drive. 3 rd INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA CELEBRATION NSS Unit of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management celebrated 3 rd international Day of Yoga on 21 st June in college campus. International Siddha Samadhi Yoga Trainer, Prof. A P Dange guided the staff members and students. A P Dange taught different asanas and Mudra.

All the present staff members and students practice the yoga in guidance of Prof. A P Dange explained in detail the importance of Yoga in day to day life. The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr.Asha Ambhaikar. In her speech Principal urged the audience to inculcate Yoga in their daily routine. ACHEVERS 2K17 ACHEVERS 2K17 is organized every year by G H Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Amravati to respect the dedication & efforts taken by our students for their achievements.

During this program color coat holders, placed students & students participated in research and innovative projects are felicitated. Students are felicitated for their achievements, accomplishment in presence of their parents.

In addition to this meritorious student of HSC examinations are also felicitated. This year ACHEVERS 2K17 was organized on 3rd June 2017 at Abhiyanta Bhavan, Amravati.

ACHEVERS 2K17 program was grand success. MEGA CAMPUS DRIVE HELD ON 4TH & 5TH MAY 2017 AT GHRCEM G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Amravati has organized “MEGA CAMPUS DRIVE 2017” on 4th & 5th May for students of Polytechnic Colleges in Maharashtra. On 4th May, this drive was organized for Varroc Group of Industries, Aurangabad.

Varroc Engineering, Laxmi Agni Group and Aurangabad Auto Ancillaries are the part of Varroc Group of Industries. The HR of all participating companies was welcomed by hands of Hon’ble Principal Dr. Asha Ambhaikar by offering a bouquet. Total 650 students participated in “MEGA CAMPUS DRIVE 2017” on 5th May. There were three rounds of selection process, Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. TEAM PERSISTANT FROM G H R C E M AMRAVATI SELECTED FOR HACKATHON 2017 GRAND FINALE.

‘Smart India Hackathon 2017’ was organized by MHRD & AICTE in collaboration with i4c, MyGov, Persistent Systems, NASSCOM and Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodini. Different ministries / departments of government of India came together, and posted their 598 problems for students seeking innovative solutions. About 27 different Government departments / ministries are involved as partners eg. Ministry of Railways, External affairs, Steel, Postal Services, ISRO, NCPCR, etc. About 7000 Engineering Students (1000 Teams ) from across the country gathered at 26 different places from all over India to produce digital solutions for more than 598 problems in the form of mobile/computer applications and software in Smart India Hackathon 2017 which was a World Biggest Hackathon. BEST ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 2017. Avinash Wadhe, Faculty of G H R C E M, Amravati from Department of Computer Science and Engineering received 'BEST ACHIEVEMENT AWARD' for the work in the field of Cyber Security Awareness Program.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP ORGANIZED A blood donation camp was organized on 03 March 2017, Friday by National Service Scheme (NSS) at GHRCEM, Amravati in association with Lifeline Blood Bank and PDMC Blood Bank, Amravati. More than 300 students participated in this camp. During this camp, blood banks received 201 units of blood. It is worthy of a mention that National Service Scheme forum of the Institute organizes the Blood Donation Camp in every semester and each time the participation and the awareness increases bringing in more donors.

Respected Principal Mam, Dr. Asha Ambhaikar, inaugurated the camp. All HoDs and faculty members were present for the inauguration of the camp.
